Empty Melon is the solo project of bassist, producer, and composer Summer Kodama. 

When I'm on Empty Melon, 

I journal and sometimes, they become songs. 

Sometimes, I get stuck, so I draw random bugs. 

Feelings distract me faster than anything else.

Sometimes, I draw maps. Thinking maps. 

Anything to help myself out. 

I appreciate color and design.

I appreciate romance. 

I try to be honest and have fun. 

I also experiment... a lot. 

Empty Melon is where I can just be myself and not worry.
